FACILITIES MAINTENANCE
Maintenance Request Process-- The Somerset Board of Education has a process in place to address maintenance issues in the school district. The correct chain of command for processing a maintenance request is for the teacher, parent, coach, athletic director, etc. to bring the issue to the attention of the building level administrator (Principal or Assistant Principal). The administrator will then process a maintenance request form, assign a priority to the item and turn the completed form into the district facilities director. Coaches and athletic support groups may also make requests to the building level administrator through the athletic director. The facilities director will then prioritize the request in relation to other requests from across the Somerset School District. If the issue requires immediate attention the person making the report may contact the Somerset Schools Central Office directly.
SCHOOL SAFETY
The safety and security of our students and employees is of utmost importance in the Somerset School District. The Somerset School District has a chain of command in place to address safety and security issues which may arise in the school district. The correct chain of command for alerting school personnell to issues of school safety is to contact the building level administrator (Principal or Assistant Principal) of the school affected by the safety or security issue. The building level administrator will then contact the appropriate person(s) to address the issue. If the issue requires immediate attention the person making the report may contact the Somerset Schools Central Office directly.
